Famous Movie Cars

The Car’s the Star!

We all have our favourite movie cars! Memorable vehicles are a huge part of film and TV history – From the iconic minis in The Italian Job, to the custom-built street racers in The Fast and Furious franchise, we all remember those cars that stole the show! Some are even the main character – The most famous VW Beetle in the world must be Herbie!

Whether it’s the coolest car in the world (Knightrider, anyone?), or one that’s totally beaten up with a few extra miles on the clock, there are loads of famous cars that are completely unforgettable!

Now although we can’t sell you any of your favourite movie cars, we can compare some of the used cars at our Warrington and St. Helens branches. So, for a bit of fun, we present the TG Autos guide to our very own ‘second-hand cars of the movies’.

The Batmobile – The Dark Knight

The Batmobile is the super-cool car driven by Bruce Wayne (AKA Batman, The Dark Knight, The Caped Crusader). It was originally depicted as an ordinary looking car that was kept hidden in the Batcave. Over time it has evolved into the heavily weaponized, impressive model that it is today, which assists Batman in his quest to fight crime.

Obviously Batman still needs the Batmobile, so we have the next best thing!

This is a beautiful Bentley Continental 6.0 GT. We think you’ll agree that it is a very impressive car and has 19inch alloys that Bruce Wayne could only dream of!

Mr Bean’s Mini

Mr Bean’s car is a citron green 1977 British Leyland Mini 1000 Mark 4. This car is the setting for a lot of Mr Bean’s bad luck and escapades! His car had its on-screen debut in Mr Bean’s Holiday 2007, which was driven by the female companion that befriended in the movie whilst holidaying in France!

Want to drive Mr Bean’s car but fancy something a bit cooler with better features? Well luckily we currently have a Mini Countryman 2.0 Cooper S for sale at our Warrington branch for £8250! It’s in brilliant condition inside and out so it doesn’t look like Mr Bean has been looking after it!

Doc Brown’s DeLorean Time Machine

Perhaps the first movie car that springs to mind, the DeLorean is the time machine used by both Dr. Emmet Brown and Marty McFly, which travelled over 130 years of Hill Valley history to keep Marty’s past from re-writing the future! The DeLorean is powered by 1.21 gigawatts of electricity, provided by a nuclear reactor fuelled by plutonium!

Whilst none of our used cars have a flux capacitor, we think this model is a pretty good match!

It can’t time travel, but this Peugeot 207 2.0 HDI Zenith has a brilliant spec, with a full leather interior, including heated front seats!
